Here's a story for you...

So Adrian comes home from school the other day with a big line-looking, hole on his shirt... (his pink Ralph Lauren Polo). So, I asked him what happened... (the hole was big, like 2 inches in his stomach), he tells me that he fell and that's how it happened... so we go back and forth with me questioning how if he fell, how he didn't dirty his shirt, and the hole was so perfect (as if it was cut with scissors)... After he realized that I wasn't buying the whole story about him falling... He sits and looks at me and tells me that as he was in line in school (don't know what line), that a big kid, like 10 years old and other kids where behind him and the one kid told Adrian that only gay people wear pink... CAN YOU BELIEVE IT???? SO... Adrian just looked down and as soon as he got back to class, he got his scissors and cut his shirt, that way, I wouldn't make him wear it again. Although I understand Adrian's reason behind cutting it, I was SUPER upset at the fact that some RETARDED, no-fashion knowing little bastard was bulling my son.... So, I explained to Adrian that wearing pink shirts doesn't make him gay (that's after I had to tell him what Gay means), that as a matter a fact, his dad wears pink polo's and he's not gay... he just likes fashion, just like him. I went on TRYING to explain to my 6 year old that some kids are just brought out in a real bad way and that their parents obviously have nothing better to do but raise these idiots of kids.
The good thing about MY son, is that he actually HAS a heart and he wouldn't try and make kids feel bad and he wouldn't talk all that nonsense, because I don't teach him that. And, he understood; unfortunately, for now, Adrian won't be wearing pink polo's to school, but he will continue to be who he is.
I just can't believe how kids are brought up sometimes... really.

that makes me mad that little 6 year old boys cant wear pink without being accused of being gay. not that i'm against being gay,of course, but that little jerk who told adrian that dosent realize what it can do. let alone that you would HAVE to explain to adrian what gay means. But adrian is a great kid so thats all that matters.

i can't believe what children say. of course, you're right.. who taught them this behavior? parents. some people shouldn't be allowed to have children!
it really upsets me that adrian felt so bad about it. i'm glad you explained it to him.
